Good Morning, Friends!
I trust you’re staying warm and feeling the excitement of a new year approaching. For many of us, this time of year is bittersweet; a mixed bag of motivation for opportunities ahead layered on top of the stress of navigating holiday breaks, travels, celebrations, gifts, and relationship dynamics. It can be a lot.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve become more purposeful and strategic with time. I’ve come to see my future self as a good friend; someone I love and someone I’d like to take care of. I often do this by anticipating future stress and doing whatever I can to ease the process or reduce friction. This week is a great example of how I take care of myself…

The Sabbatical
I set goals quarterly and a couple of weeks before the end of every quarter I will take a day away from the typical events to sit down and dig in. At the end of the year when gift buying, event attending, family traveling, and trying to keep the magic alive for my kiddos, I still make time to reset all the systems; and since the intention is to plan an entire year, I physically remove myself from my regular distractions for not just a few hours but for a couple of days. I always complete my annual goal setting before the actual holidays begin and here’s why: my hamster wheel will keep rolling – even if I’m knee-deep in wrapping paper and cheese balls with my family. I know myself well enough that if I don’t get pen to paper now, I won’t be able to be fully present during the times that really counts.
After my calls today, I’ll be going offline. I’m leaving the family at home and checking into a hotel for a couple of days to map out and plan my 2026.
I’ve got the system down to a science, and I’d love to tell you more about it.
I’ve coached hundreds of agents how to create systems around their goals, and this week I’ll demonstrate, in nearly real-time, how I set myself up for the most fulfilling year ahead. If you’ve got time to come out for Tactical Applications on Thursday, I’d be really pleased to see you there. (Registration below).
As always, it is an honor and a privilege to be in business with you.
Yours in Success,
Coach Lins
