Happy Friday, Friends.
Have you ever felt like you were taking a chance with your safety?
While we often attend classes on how to grow our business and how to service our clients, I don’t think we spend enough time focusing on protecting ourselves. Our industry requires an enormous amount of interaction with people we don’t know.
This means we need to be extra mindful of our surroundings and make sure that we have protocols in place to protect ourselves.
According to the National Association of Realtors, 4 in 10 real estate professionals have experienced a situation in which they feared for their own safety. I’ll be 100% transparent here and admit that I am one of the four. I’m on a personal mission to ensure that each and every one of you is informed about how to take necessary measures to protect yourself.
I’ve taken it upon myself to record the KWU course Safety By Choice, Not By Chance. It will help you learn how to stay alert to potential dangers and be purposeful about your safety while maintaining your daily routine. After all, safety is not just a reaction to situations, it is a mindset. Please watch.
I hope you found this safety class informative. Please be vigilant and take care of yourself. Don’t meet strangers at homes without vetting them in a public place first, don’t park in the driveway, keep yourself between the client and the closest exit, and always ALWAYS check your six.
