GET MORE REVIEWS IN THREE SIMPLE STEPS

One of the hardest things about getting reviews from folks is that often times there are several steps a person must take in order to find where to post and what to say. In Jay Papasan’s One Percenter newsletter this morning, he wrote about how to remove friction from the review process to make it easier for your clients.

DONT EXPECT GREAT ANSWERS IF YOU AREN’T WILLING TO ASK GREAT QUESTIONS

This is a challenge that comes up a lot in our leadership journey. If we don’t seek clarity, much of our work might be for naught. Have you ever shown fifty homes to a Buyer only to find out that your search criteria is way off base? Ooof. I’ve been there and I learned a lot from that one. 

Sometimes we need to go three deep with the questioning in order to get to the bottom of what is important to a client or an accountability partner.

I challenge you this week to take some time to outline some great questions that you can ask during your consultations with Buyers and Sellers. Don’t stop at “Why do you want to move?” Push farther into things like “What will it do for you to move to your next home?” “What will it feel like once you’re there?” Or “How will your world/life/family be better off in your next home?” Knowing the answers to all of these questions are just a part of how you can give them excellent service. We can use this information to help our clients stay focused on the end goal when things get complicated, and we have specific things we’ll be able to celebrate with our clients when they get to their next spot in life. We’ll also be earning the trust and possibly future referrals from our current clients.
